Challenge
The Louisiana Children’s Museum planned on opening two new exhibits in 2019. The museum’s director contacted her friend Catherine Mayer, originally from New Orleans, about commissioning Ambient Art® for each exhibit. One theme was “Follow That Food“, which educates children on the origins of locally sourced food and the journey it takes to the dinner table. The other theme was “Move With The River“, which highlights the essentiality of the regions waterway to nature and the local people.
Solution
Catherine Mayer had planned to have select grade school kids from New Orleans be the contributing artists for all the renderings that would go into the Ambient Art. I collaborated with Catherine to develop storyboards for each exhibit. We used printed images from the storyboards to have the kids select from and draw using The L.A.U.G.H. App™ on the iPad.
